Chivas Champion of the Copa MX Apertura 2015

Chivas had to wait 45 years to taste the cup title and add to their history. Chivas defeated club Leon 1-0 in Estadio Nou Camp in the final of the tournament of Copa MX Apertura 2015.

Chivas gain the ball possession and most of the field possession. At the 11 minute Mauro Boselli obtain a great possession inside the box with a dangerous cross shot but was wide from the left post. From that moment on Chivas maintained most of the pressure. Omar Bravo gave an amazing assist to Michael Perez who blast a shot from outside the box which was very close once again. At the 40 minute Marco Fabian made a wonderful play with Omar Bravo and took a shot which the goalie blocked. At the 45 minute Fabian made a run and took a power shot from outside the box which was slightly off the crossbar.

Second half the rhythm continued with Chivas dominating possession. At the 50 min Fierro defeats Velarde and penetrated the area of Leon and Bravo shoots once again but this time Jonny Magallon interfered. Both team playing at there best to try to get ahead in the score. At the 70 minute Raul Lopez crossed the ball from a Free Kick to the furthest post where Oswald Alanis jumped higher than it’s opponent to header the ball into the right net close to the right post which made the thousands of Rojiblancos at the Nou Camp rejoice.
