LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA.— The LA Galaxy knew that they were in for an offseason of change after head coach Bruce Arena joined players Steven Gerrard and Robbie Keane in departing the star-laden franchise. Their back line of Robbie Rogers, Ashley Cole, Daniel Steres, Jelle Van Damme, and Brian Rowe remains intact, but it appears that the Galaxy will focus their attention on shoring up their midfield this winter.
Jermaine Jones does bring a physicality the Galaxy lacked in the central midfield after the departure of Nigel de Jong midseason.
Wasting no time LA Galaxy acquired Jermaine Jones, the Colorado Rapids announced that they traded Jones rights to Galaxy in exchange for a couple draft picks.
