LA Galaxy announced that the club acquired free agent midfielder Sacha Kljestan. The US Men’s National Team veteran joins LA Galaxy with 264 appearances, 38 goals and 93 assists in Major League Soccer in addition to a standout career with Anderlecht in Belgium's first division.
Klestan played for Chivas USA (2006-2010), NY Red Bulls (2015-2017 and Orlando City (2018-2019) a total of 10 seasons in the MLS. He also had 180 appearances for Andelecht while accumulating 25 goals and 21 assits in the Jupiler Pro League in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
“Sacha is a talented veteran that will add depth and leadership to our midfield position,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. “He is a local product that we believe will benefit us both on the field and in our locker room and we are excited to add his experience to our roster. We look forward to him joining our club.”
