The Los Angeles Football Club acquires 20-year-old Uruguayan midfielder Francisco Ginella from Montevideo Wanderers. The Uruguayan youth will join LAFC ahead of the upcoming MLS season occupying an international roster spot.
"At just 20 years old, Francisco brings a meaningful amount of experience at the professional and youth international levels," said LAFC EVP & General Manager John Thorrington. "It is exciting for our club to sign a player of his quality and potential, and we are confident Francisco will prove to be a great fit for LAFC as we look ahead to our third season."
Ginella 20, was in action in 17 matches across three domestick tournaments and one Copa Sudamericana match, Ginella summed 2,341 minutes in 32 matches in all competitions for Wanderers. Ginella debuted for the Uruguay U-20 side on May 8, 2018 and has played a total of 14 international matches, including three games last summer at the U-20 FIFA World Cup in Poland.
