Mexico Defeat Honduras to Become the U23 Concacaf Champions

The Aztec side had a tough battle against the central American side Honduras and defeated them in a penalty shootout. Mexico came from behind to get the equalizer 1-1 in regular time and suffered for 120 minutes but were able to come obtain the win in a penalty shootout that ended 5-4 giving the Aztec side the win. Both nations Mexico and Honduras will go to the Olympics representing CONCACAF.

Now that Mexico has the ticket to the Olympics they will begin to prepare for the Olympics, and they will get to add three over age players as well as the U23 that were playing in Mexico’s European Tour. Honduras looked well prepped to compete and represent the CONCACAF in the 2021 Olympic Games.
