Race to The End of La Liga. Who will take the top place? Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Sevilla

It has been an exciting 2020-2021 season in LA Liga Atletico Madrid currently holds the top place. Barcelona is coming off a hot run with a 5-game winning streak, Atletico coming off a lost to the Sevilla, 2 win and 2 draws in the last 5 games and Real Madrid coming off 2 draw and 3 game winning streak. Sevilla is slowly creeping their way in contender zone, but it is too late they would have to be almost perfect in their last matches with less than 10 games left.

The challenges and pathway of each team.

 Atletico Madrid

After being sent home by Chelsea in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League Diego Simeone has his full focus on taking the La Liga title without any distractions of the Champions League. This task will not be a walk in the park for them due to having some power houses still to face in the closing matches of the season such as Real Betis, Real Sociedad, and Runner up Barcelona.

Barcelona

Barcelona is focusing on taking the throne from current leader Atletico with a 1-point difference. PSG shattered Barca dreams of becoming the Champions League champs by sending them home in the Round of 16. Barca doesn’t have it as easy they have a Copa del Rey final against Athletic Club, a clasico against Real, and a match against Atletico.

Real Madrid

Real Madrid is currently 3 points away from the top place Atletico and is currently in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League against Liverpool, Madrid has the upper hand in the leg of the Champions quarterfinal by defeating winning the fist leg 3-1 at home. In the domestic competition they have a challenging schedule as well they must face Barcelona in the classico, a match against Real Betis and runner up Sevilla.

Sevilla FC

Sevilla has full focus on attempting to climb to the top place in the season they have proven to be a strong side this season. Sevilla has been eliminated from both Copa del Rey against Barcelona and in the Round of 16 Champions league against Borussia Dortmund. Leaving Sevilla to focus on the domestic league they previously defeated Atletico and has some matches left against Real Sociedad, Villareal and Real Madrid.

La Liga 2020-2021 season is coming to and end with some exciting matches in the final race.
