Clay Matthews Signs with the LA Rams

After a decade in Green Bay Packers Clay Matthews Agrees to Rams Contract

Clay Matthews Agreed to a two-year contract the Los Angeles Rams. The 32-year-old Linebacker spent the first 10 years of this career with the Green Bay Packers, who selected him in the 2009 draft. Matthew grew up in Southern California, played for USC and is no stranger to Los Angeles.

Despite his low production last season, Matthew can still very effective with the LA Rams. Don’t forget that Clay Matthews has made the Pro Bowl six times and was the runner-up to Troy Polamalu for the defensive player of the year in 2010 and has 11 sacks in 15 career playoff games, tied for fifth in NFL playoff history.

 

Matthews is the fourth player to sign with the LA Rams in free agency.  Rams signed quarterback Blake Bortles to a one-year deal, safety Eric Weddle to a two-year deal, Dante Fowler who signed a one-year deal and now Clay Matthews.
