El Salvador and Guatemala National Soccer teams faced each other at LAFC Banc of California Stadium in the heart of Los Angeles. This Central American classic was played in Los Angeles, this game felt like playing at home for both teams with a great support for both nations.
The Salvadorian squad scored early on in the game in the 2 minute of play by a weak Guatemalan defensive display that allow forward Oscar Ceren to put the ball in the back of the net. Second Salvadorian goal came from a nicely cross from the left wing to easy tap in from David Rugamas to make 2-0.
Guatemala started the second half strong and attacking from all sides, but not finding an answer. Guatemala’s pressure was strong for the first 20 minutes of the second half but El Salvador answered with another goal from David Rugamas in the 68 minute of play. Guatemala scored in the 79 minute of play of after a couple of blocks from a free kick. Making the match 3-1 in favor of El Salvador the better squad of the night.
