LAFC 2-0 FC Dallas | Vela Extended His League Lead To 13

Los Angeles Football Club has stretched their unbeaten streak by defeating the FC Dallas at the Banc of California. Captain Carlos Vela added another goal to his league leading total making it 13 goals in the season.

The match started off with both teams fighting for the possession, LAFC tried to create early chances and strong pressure. In the 10th minute LAFC created there first scoring opportunity when Latif Blessing was taken down about 10 yards outside the box. Carlos Vela took a curling shot headed for the right upper corner, but it was deflected by the crossbar.

LAFC took control of the game and added pressure by the 20th minute they had held 66% of possession.

In the 39th minute LAFC broke the scoreless seal, Atuesta received the ball from outside the box and gave Vela a perfect pass to place him inside the box unmarked which allowed Vela to curl a shot into the bottom far corner scoring his 13th goal of the season.

By the half time LAFC had possession and not allowing FC Dallas to take a single shot or a corner. LAFC was playing beautiful and great executed soccer.

In the second half Dallas came out looking like a different team. In the 60th minute Dallas finally took their first shot. Dallas took possession of the match for a while but LAFC head coach Bob Bradley made moves in the team that allowed him to retake the possession and pressure they started off with.

In the 85th minute Diomande forced a Turnover on Dallas defender, Vela gave the back to Diomande who then only had the keeper to beat but Gonzalez rushed Diomande and Diomande laid the ball off to Rossi scored the second goal on a open net but a whistle for offside stopped the celebration immediately.

The Referee wen the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) and reviewed the close offside call and allowed the goal.

The LAFC was the better team this night but can they do it again at Dallas home as they replay them on Sunday night.
