LAFC 3-0 Leon | LAFC Advanced to Quarterfinals of Concacaf Champions League

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) advanced to the 2020 Concacaf Champions League quarterfinals by defeating Leon 3-0 at LAFC home Banc of California Stadium. The black and gold came into the series down by 2-0 but had a great comeback with goals from Carlos Vela (2) and Diego Rossi.

It was all LAFC from the start, with forwards Carlos Vela and Brian Rodriguez getting a pair of chances in the early moments of the match. The Club would cut the series lead in half in the 27th minute as Vela got on the end of a Diego Rossi cross that snuck through the hands of goalkeeper Rodolfo Cota.

The reigning MLS MVP would get his brace in the 77nd minute to level the aggregate score. Two minutes later, Rossi tallied the winner with a left footed strike over Cota and into the back of the net.

LAFC will face Cruz Azul in the next round of the tournament.
